A Halifax artist documents local icons and triggers memories
Haligonian Daniel J. Burt has always been passionate about drawing and painting. After many years experimenting with spray paint, he now creates large-scale murals for Trackside Studios across the country and dreams of expanding worldwide.
“My mural ‘Been Cool’ depicts a small handful of iconic locations from Quinpool Road,” he says. “Though these places may be gone, they live on through the memories of visitors and citizens of Halifax. I am adding a visual aid to these stories and possibly triggering memories forgotten.”
